OptiSHFT Account Deletion

1. How to request account deletion

You can request deletion of your OptiSHFT account through any of the following methods:

  • From within the app: navigate to SettingsAccountDelete Account.
  • From the web: visit optishift.com.au/account-deletion and submit the deletion request form below.
  • By email: send a request to support@wrknexus.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from the email address registered to your account.

2. What happens when you request deletion

Once we receive your request, we will verify your identity and begin processing the deletion. You will receive an email confirming your request within 2 business days.

3. What data is deleted

Upon completion of the deletion process, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Your login credentials and authentication tokens;
  • Personal profile information (name, email, phone number, profile photo);
  • Availability preferences;
  • App usage data and device identifiers;
  • Push notification tokens;
  • Any personal settings or preferences.

4. Timeframe

Account deletion is completed within 30 days of the confirmed request. During this period your account will be deactivated and you will not be able to access the app.

5. Data we are required to retain

Under Australian law, certain records must be retained even after account deletion. In accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009 and the Fair Work Regulations 2009, we retain the following for a period of seven years:

  • Employment and roster records;
  • Timesheet and attendance records;
  • Pay-related records and leave records.

These records are retained in a de-identified or archived format where possible and are not used for any purpose other than meeting our legal obligations. Payroll-related data such as tax file numbers, superannuation details, and bank account information are retained only where required by the Taxation Administration Act 1953 and are securely archived.

6. Data held by your employer

OptiSHFT processes workforce data on behalf of your employer (the data controller). If you wish to request deletion of data held by your employer within OptiSHFT, you should direct that request to your employer. We will assist your employer in fulfilling the request as required.

7. Third-party data

When your account is deleted, we also instruct our sub-processors (hosting, analytics, error tracking) to delete your personal data in accordance with our data processing agreements.

8. Cancelling a deletion request

You may cancel a deletion request within 7 days of submitting it by contacting support@wrknexus.com. After 7 days, the deletion process cannot be reversed.
